Hope staff

Pat Roach - Pastor

Pat is originally from Central Texas and graduated with a degree in Philosophy from Texas A&M in 1992. After spending some time overseas in the former Soviet Union, Pat began theological studies at Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia, PA which he completed in 1999. Pat served as RUF campus minister at Rice University from 1999 to 2007, where he regularly preached, met with students, and taught a class on spirituality and contemporary film. He is married to Ashley, who is a nursing student at the University of Portland. They have three children: Mary, Anna, and James. Pat is into eating, reading, tending to his chickens, and following the exploits of the 2005 National League Champion Houston Astros and the 1977 NBA Champion Portland Trailblazers.  Jesse Putnam - chief musician

Jesse is a Portland native, educated at Oregon State and Portland State University.  He currently teaches high school in the Metro area and is married to Alexis and the father of Miette.  He has been leading music at Hope for almost two years.

Casey Bedell - pastoral intern

Casey and his wife Jen are new Oregonians, having recently moved to Portland from Texas.  Casey attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a degree in communications, and is currently a student at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC.  Jen is a Physician Assistant, working at OHSU.  Casey can be contacted at casey@hopeportland.org.
