Christian Century magazine has a fascinating article about the virus-like faith that many teenagers (adults?) practice in American churches.  They call this new faith moralistic therapeutic moralism.  As you might have guessed from its name, it is less than Scriptural, selfless, or Christ-centered.  But, like any virus, it needs a host to survive.  In this case, the host is churches.  To read more click here.  Also, Newsweek has a similar article that you can read here.
