Since there are so many choices of activities in this park, it can be a bit overwhelming to know where to begin. A good spot to start is the visitors' center. (This is temporarily housed in the Pearson Air Museum while the visitor center is being renovated.) From there you can decide what you would like to do next. We will plan to meet at Pearson Air Museum/Park Visitor Center at 10:00 a.m. The park opens at 9:00, so if you like to get out early, feel free to get to the park before 10:00. You can meet up with others at the visitors center at 10:00, or be in touch via cell phone to make other arrangements.
The Reconstructed Fort Site is open for touring at 9:00 a.m. This is the only portion of the park with an entrance fee: $3.00 for those 16 years old and older, free for 15 years old and younger. The receipt is valid for 7 days, so you can come back within the week.
There is a playground and picnic pavilion located at the visitors' center (the closed facility), where we may decide to meet for lunch.
